At the middle-market level, teams rarely consisted of more than three people. Partners came in to review for 30 minutes and charged large fees, while managers often did little more than delegate, leaving seniors and associates to do the work. Of those three people on the job, one person was usually doing 90% of the work. I was almost always that one person.
